The upcoming One Piece live-action adaptation will feature dubbed voices by the original anime voice actors. One Piece live-action is an online television series developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda.

The show is a direct adaptation of the Japanese manga of the same name, which was first published in 1997 by Eiichiro Oda. The project is set to premiere on August 31, 2023, with a cast that includes:

– Iñaki Godoy as Luffy.
– Mackenyu as Zoro.
– Emily Rudd as Nami.
– Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp.
– Taz Skylar as Sanji.

Season 1 of the One Piece live-action revolves around a young boy named Monkey D. Luffy, who sets sail with his straw hat and dreams of becoming the Pirate King while searching for the treasure known as One Piece. During his journey, he rescues and befriends the pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro, the cat burglar Nami, the sharpshooter Usopp, and the cook Sanji, along with their ship, the Going Merry. Together, they form the Straw Hat Pirates and face off against notorious pirate crews in the East Blue. The producers have stated that the original language of the One Piece live-action will be English. However, in major markets like Japan, Spain, and China, there will be language-specific dubs for those countries. In particular, the Japanese dub will be eagerly awaited not only by Japanese fans but also by the wider fan community due to the familiar voices of the anime seiyuu since 1999.
